Together with our partner Apadmi, we’ve developed something special for Poundland’s loyalty app: an interactive spinwheel campaign that steals the show every Wednesday! With one spin, customers have a chance to win prizes and loyalty points that they can immediately redeem in-store. This gives customers not only a fun experience but also real rewards for their loyalty. And thanks to our API integration, everything runs seamlessly in the background!
The challenge: Keeping customers engaged
Poundland wanted to give its loyalty program a major boost. The question was simple: “How can we get customers to return to the app every week in a fun way and reward them for their loyalty?” The solution? Gamification! After all, who doesn’t enjoy a little excitement and reward? With our spinwheel integration in their app, Poundland ensures that customers keep coming back every week, curious to see what’s next.

Thanks to our technology, we designed a spinwheel fully integrated into the Poundland app. The rules are simple: spin every Wednesday, build excitement, and immediately have a chance to win fun prizes and rewards.
Here’s how it works:
Play on WINsday: Customers open the app, go to the spinwheel, and spin! Every spin offers a new chance to win prizes, loyalty points, or maybe even a direct voucher.
Instant prize redemption: Through our API, all won points and prizes are directly converted into digital vouchers. Customers can use them immediately on their next store visit – quick and easy!
Seamless redemption: With just a click or scan in-store, customers can immediately enjoy their prize without any hassle or extra steps.
The Results: excitement for customers, growth for Poundland!
Launch of the Poundland Perks app on October 17, 2024: After a successful Proof of Concept, the app went nationwide and now has 800 stores connected. Since then, the app has grown exponentially!
WINsday growth: Every Wednesday, the number of app users jumps to over 12,000, a double increase compared to the normal daily 6,500 users.
A grand national launch on October 23: The very first national Spin to Win attracted 31,266 players, a 158% increase compared to the last PoC game on October 9.
And the growth continues: The following week, on October 30, the number of users increased again to 42,671, a rise of another 41%!
With these fantastic results, Spin to Win has proven to be the perfect way to engage customers. The combination of gamification and rewards has made Poundland’s loyalty program irresistible, ensuring that customers return each week for another chance to win.
